Match vs Compliment:
Matching with one another can be cute but complementing each other can be elegant. For example, if the groom is wearing a grey or blue button-up, the bride may want to wear a soft & airy light pink or white blouse/dress.
Colors:
Photographers love when models wear soft pastel colors for the gals, and neutrals for the guys. It helps the subjects stand out from the background in a
beautiful and peaceful way. Avoid bright colors as they often clash and can reflect that color on your skin. It doesn't have to be pastel or light colors either. As long as the color is more on the neutral side rather than the bright neon side like the image on the right.

Flatter Yourself:
It’s important to wear clothes that make you feel your best. If you are uncomfortable in the outfit you pick it will show in the photos.
Vibes:
It's best if you stick with two outfits, one casual and the other a bit more formal. Formal doesn't have to be a tux and dress. In fact, I personally prefer semi-formal or even simply Sunday best. A simple pale sundress for the bride with dress pants and a button-up for the groom.
For the casual outfit stick with a pale blouse for the bride with jeans or other pants of your choice (just try to stay away from patterns for the bottoms), and a neutral color button-up or T-shirt for the groom with the same pants requirement as the bride.
Shoes:
Shoes are the easy part that I think everyone already understands, just make sure they match the outfit, and again, avoid bright colors and you'll be set.
Classic vs Trendy:
Stick with outfits that are classic rather than something that can look dated in 10 or more years. You want these pictures to last you a lifetime.
